Our flagship Academy programme revolves around delivering best informed interventions developed around local needs. We regularly cross-reference advice from the Government Office for National Statistics to ensure we deliver on our charitable objects: to provide or assist in the provision of a service in the interests of social welfare, to target service delivery in areas and for those at most in need of support.
We offer selected young participants a combined education of professional football coaching, growth mindset training, and employability-driven ‘Skills to Succeed’ workshops over a series of ten consecutive weeks, all to enable participants to be ready and able to move into work, education or further training on successful course completion.
Our nationally acclaimed flagship programme, the Street Soccer Academy, is viewed as the leading football-led project tackling youth homelessness in England, providing a learning and development opportunity for 17-25 year olds.
Participants will study a variety of different skills such as diet, mindset, healthy lifestyle, sports coaching. The course comprises both classroom and practical, sport-based learning and features various skills boosters that will prepare you for employment.
Most skills boosters are done through interactive learning platforms in a variety of formats. These include posters, group tasks/discussions, mock interviews, coaching and fun activities.
This is a ten-week programme ran twice throughout the year, once in autumn to winter and in spring to summer.
