Fresh Start Community Housing helps vulnerable people gain access to appropriate housing and necessary support. Providing services that assist people with a wide range of issues, including homelessness, ex offenders, single mothers and alcohol and substance misuse. There are three categories of clients that they assist:
Sober Home: Fresh Start Sober Homes (FSSH) is a housing service in Sheffield for people in recovery from substance abuse. The service offers low – medium support during office hours for as long as it take to get them back on there feet and also help with house and support for clients that have a minimum of 12 weeks total abstinence in one of their Sober Houses.
Homelessness: Fresh Start Housing Service understands that being homeless doesn’t always mean you’re sleeping rough. Their services are also for people who are without settled, safe or secure accommodation – you may be sofa surfing, threatened with eviction or where you’re living may be unsuitable for a variety of reasons. First and foremost, Fresh Start Housing Services offer accommodation to people and families in housing crisis.
Ex-Offenders: At Fresh Start Housing Service (FSHS), we know that having stable accommodation helps people break the cycle of re-offending. FSHS has substantial experience of providing housing to offenders, including those released from prison, individuals serving community sentences, and those at risk of offending. Working closely with private landlords, housing departments and Registered Social Landlords.
