Friends of Greenhill Library
Detailed Information

It is a primarily a library but we also run a number of groups. We have spaces for people to sit, either at a table, computer or on comfortable chairs. Wifi is available and use of the computers is free. We dont usually allow people to charge devices and we do not offer any refreshments unless it is linked to one of the activities listed above.

Knit and Natter: Join our friendly group in the library from 10.00 to 12.00 on the first and third Wednesday each month. We can provide needles, wool and patterns. Our book club meets on the third Wednesday of the month from 7.00pm – 8.30pm.

Coffee Morning: Every Thursday from 10.00 to 11.30. A cup of tea or coffee, a biscuit, a friendly smile and a conversation, all for 50p.

Children's Crafts: Every Friday afternoon during term time.

Story Time (for pre-schoolers): Story time is aimed at pre-schoolers and their siblings, families and friends. There are sessions at 10.15 each Thursday. They are free and there is no need to book.

Coder Dojo: Meets weekly on Thursdays immediately after school. Similar to a code club, our Dojo is aimed at children aged 8 – 13. We offer coding in scratch and python, and some simple robotics projects using the BBC micro:bit.

Digital Support: We offer free help to use your smartphone, tablet or laptop each Friday morning. Drop-in sessions from 10.00 to 11.30.
