Detailed Information

Depaul Young Peoples Dispersed Accommodation Service provides housing and support to vulnerable young people (including couples and young parents) who are resettling after a period of living without a permanent home. The service aims to help young people develop the independent living skills necessary to manage and sustain their accommodation, so that they are able to manage financially; keep safe; engage with education, training and employment providers; be healthy and engage positively in their communities and wider society.

The service is available to young people aged 17-21 inclusive, and young parents aged 16-21 inclusive by referral through the Sheffield City Council Housing Support Pathway accessed via Howden House.

Accommodation is provided in a range of shared and self-contained properties across Sheffield. Rent for the property is in the main Housing Benefit eligible, some properties have a service charge which the tenant must pay to cover utilities.

Accommodation is normally for a maximum of 12 months.
