Ben's Centre is a charity that aims to provide a safe space and an open hand to those who suffer substance misuse and its associated barriers.

• It is a ‘damp centre’ meaning clients are allowed to access the centre on Wilkinson Street while under the influence, as long as no substances are brought onto the premises.
• Outreach, Monday to Friday, offering advice, food and drink, clean clothes and the opportunity for a friendly chat.
• Ben’s Bazaar Shop: raise funding for the project, provide information and signposting, provide a place for client work experience

We provide hot meals, showers, phone and internet access, a hub for other professionals to meet clients, laundry and activities

Sheffield rehoming, advice and behaviour unit supports pets and people across South Yorkshire and beyond. Offer rehoming, advice and behaviour services and work with partner charities and our network of volunteers. Drop in service (2pm – 4pm, closed Wednesdays).

• Homes Direct Scheme is for dogs, cats, rabbits and other small pets who can sadly no longer keep them but don’t need to find them a home straight away. Pets stay in their existing home until a new owner is found for them.
• Short term volunteer foster caring to needy dogs, cats or small pets in their own home.
• Pet food bank, no voucher or proof of need required. Provide pet food and other items such as bedding and cat litter.

In addition to the drop-in service at Victoria Hall, they also offer refugee support on an appointment basis at their Sheffield office.

We are a volunteer-run library, offering library services to all as part of the Sheffield Libraries.

We don’t think anyone in our community should have to face going hungry. That’s why we provide three days’ nutritionally balanced emergency food and support to local people who are referred to us in crisis. We are part of a nationwide network of foodbanks, supported by The Trussell Trust, working to combat poverty and hunger across the UK.

Currently we have a public cafe open 9.30am - 3.30pm serving value for money hot and cold meals and drinks. In the near future we hope that we will be able to offer a dedicated space for the community to access on a daily basis with access to IT etc, run by volunteers but we are not in a position to offer this yet as the space needs some adaptation, which we are trying to raise the funds to complete. Change Grow Live is an accommodation charity providing prevention treatment and recovery support services across England and Wales. Support those affected by drug or alcohol abuse, criminal justice system, homelessness.

• Services shaped by the people who access them and have launched a co-produced toolkit to help teams listen to the people served.
• 16-25 accessible, engaging harm reduction for young people – find out what works for the young people and bring that support out into the community.

Changing Futures sets to improve the way that systems and services work to support individuals facing multiple disadvantage:

• Coproduction and peer support – South Yorkshire Housing Association works in partnership with Crisis, are delivering a Coproduction and Peer Support service. This service is increasing the influence of people with lived experience of multiple disadvantage on the design and delivery of services and the city’s overall strategy and approach to multiple disadvantage. They are working to increase the number of ways in which people currently experiencing multiple disadvantage can benefit from empathetic and credible role models.
• Core Delivery Team – caseload of 81 adults (7 per case worker). People receiving support from the progragramme also have access to additional psychiatric, psychological and primary care support, alongside personalisation budgets to meet their goals.
• Positive Activities – partnered with the Sheffield Drug and Alcohol Commissioning Team to co-commission the ‘Positive Activities for Adults in Recovery Fund’ which is administered and coproduced by South Yorkshire Housing Association.
• Learning and Development – Via Project 6, developing and offering bespoke training and awareness-raising activities, centred on knowledge of multiple disadvantage and implementing trauma-informed and person-centred approaches. Learning from all areas of the programme at a system level to develop consensus and sustainable, collective solutions.
• Enhanced and dedicated specialist support – increased the capacity of Sheffield Homeless Assessment and Support Team which provides access to healthcare services. Partnered with Paradigm Psychology to provide psychological support to support caseload and staff. Working with Cranstaun to deliver specialist support service for perpetrators of domestic violence.
• Data and Information Sharing – Mixture of data-led and operational intelligence approaches to inform how we work, from identifying caseload to helping inform service design and delivery. Repeatedly seek consent to share specific information with specific partners when needed. Developing a client portal so those supported have direct access to their records at any time.

Cherrytree supports young people (aged 16 – 21) who are homeless and in need of support. Provides accommodation, and personalised support to help young people develop the life skills necessary for them to gain confidence, and to re-establish their lives.

• Supported Accommodation Projects, two supported accommodation sites across Sheffield. A twenty-bed hostel in Totley on the edge of the Peak District, and an eight bedroomed house near the City Centre. 1:1 personalised support provided to develop independent living skills and tackle underlying causes of homelessness. Stay up to a year before being offered access to the home and health service, when they move on to their own tenancy. Informed by Psychologically Informed Environments (PIE).
• Counselling and Mediation, provides a confidential and safe space for young people to talk about anything troubling them. Family mediation also offered.
• Homes and Health Service, help young people to move into, and maintain their own tenancies, living independently. Provide practical help but also provide more personal support to suit each individuals needs. Support them to access health services and general wellbeing. Help them to know their local area and find support networks. Support them with developing household skills, budgeting etc.

Choices Housing Trust, an independent housing association and a Not-For-Profit charitable organisation, providing 37 rooms across 10 houses in Sheffield. Accept referrals from a range of homeless organisations, as well as statutory services such as Local Authorities, NHS and Probation. Lease residential properties from owner landlords on a series of 6 renewable leases. Offers supports to residents in the areas of welfare benefits, debt management, employment, health, and housing.

• Sundays -Sunday Church services, weekly at 10.30am and 6pm.
• Weekly meeting for refugees, especially those who speak Farsi at 12.30 after the Morning services on Sundays.
• Weekly internationals lunch on Sundays, free lunch for anyone who's first language is not English.
• Weekly Free Student meal in the evening on Sundays. Monday
• Mums and tots group running weekly during term time.
• Olive Tree - a social space to asylum seekers and refugees to play games and go to a café.
• International café- café for anyone who's first language is not English.
• English class - Class for anyone wanting to improve their English. Friday
• Fortnightly women's bible study.
• Youth group for ages 11-18. November
• Christianity explored, a place to explore the message of Jesus. We are also hoping to open a workspace for anyone working remotely to come and have a social place to gather and work.
